Concept
Rehabilitation training equipment that anyone can use easily
Hemiplegia, which is a sequela of cerebrovascular diseases such as cerebral infarction, can develop over time into a condition called "spasticity," in which the muscles become tense and stiff, or "contracture," in which the muscles become rigid. Such a condition interferes with daily life and rehabilitation training, placing a burden on the person and their caregiver. To prevent this from happening, it is important to continue daily rehabilitation, but rehabilitation carried out by family members or therapists is limited by physical strength and the insurance system, and it is also difficult for the individual to continue voluntarily, making it difficult to secure the necessary training time. Therefore, we have developed the "Power Assist Series" of rehabilitation training equipment that can be worn by the user to support rehabilitation training, which is often lacking. It uses air pressure to automatically move paralyzed joints, supporting the continuation of rehabilitation training. "My Reha" in particular has been well received as a product that allows users to train at their own convenience at home.
Power Assist Series for self-rehabilitation at home
Hemiplegia is a sequela of cerebral infarction or cerebral hemorrhage. During the "recovery period" immediately after regaining voluntary movement, an environment is in place where rehabilitation can be continued. However, during the subsequent "maintenance period," many people are unable to receive satisfactory functional recovery training due to limitations on caregiver staff and training time. If rehabilitation training is not continued properly during this maintenance period, muscles will weaken further, and contracture may occur, making it impossible to move. To support ongoing rehabilitation training, we offer the "Power Assist Series" of rehabilitation training assist devices. Among these, the "My Reha" rehabilitation device for hands and fingers is a lightweight and easy-to-use product that is used by many people at home.
You can try it out before you use it
The "Power Assist Series" can be used by individuals and corporations alike. Many people have achieved results with "My Reha" by continuing functional training independently at home, aiming to prevent contractures, reduce the burden of caregiving, and restore physical function. Other Power Assist Series products are also used in medical institutions, nursing homes, and rehabilitation facilities, where they are useful for functional recovery training. Before purchasing or renting a product, we always accept free trials and trials. We will deliver products anywhere in Japan, so please feel free to try them out.
For rehabilitation of hemiplegia of the fingers, wrists, and ankles
There are three types of "Power Assist Series" that we offer to our customers. The first is "Rehands," a training device used in "My Reha" and similar programs to flex and straighten fingers. It is glove-shaped and designed to be easy to wear for paralyzed fingers. The second is "Relist," which moves the wrist and assists in wrist training by gripping a lever. The last is "Relegs," a device specialized for ankle up and down movement, assisting in plantar flexion and dorsiflexion of the ankle. Each one operates by connecting to a dedicated control box that releases air, gently moving joints and supporting rehabilitation training.
Please let us know your thoughts on how the Power Assist series has helped you regain movement in your fingers.
We will introduce how customers who use the Power Assist series such as "Mairiha" use it. For example, we have received feedback from people who have given up on the idea of being able to do things like pick up a newspaper with their fingers and turn the pages. In this day and age, it has been proven that with training, different neural circuits can be formed and people can start functioning again even with paralysis, so it may be premature to give up hope just because someone is paralyzed. We have obtained permission to share these cases with everyone.
Providing useful information
We will provide column articles explaining terms related to paralysis caused by cerebral infarction and cervical spine injury, as well as methods for carrying out functional recovery training at home. We will also provide other latest information and exhibition information.
